BIG Something has some big plans in store for the coming months, as the Burlington, NC-based rock band is gearing up for the forthcoming release of their next studio album, Escape.

One of the songs to be included on the band’s sixth studio album—their first since 2018’s The Otherside—is “The Breakers”, an energizing, synth-pop-inspired track initially released on March 6th. The five-minute recording represents a new approach to the band’s strategy of writing original music and features the lyrics that went on to inspire the name of the soon-to-be-released album.

Today, Live For Live Music is excited to premiere the band’s brand new lyric video for “The Breakers”, which takes viewers on a technicolor journey along the ocean waves with enough surf inspiration to get anyone ready to hit the beach in the coming summer months.

“I love this as a visual representation of the song,” guitarist/vocalist Nick MacDaniels says of their latest video. “The surfing footage is very symbolic of the lyrics – learning how to ride the waves of life.”

As MacDaniels previously mentioned with the arrival of “The Breakers” last week, “It’s one of those songs that kind of magically wrote itself in the moment. It really turned into a thesis statement for the entire new album.”
