The Raconteurs were at the CBS television studios in New York City for the first of their two consecutive musical guest appearances on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Thursday. The recently regrouped rock band is starting to make the media rounds to get their fans ready for the release of their Help Us Stranger album, out today on Jack White‘s Third Man Records. For their appearance on the popular late-night talk show, the rock band delivered a performance of the album’s (almost) title track, “Help Me Stranger”.

The studio performance opened up with the green-lit face of Colbert projected via screen alongside some other unusual imagery before the band emerged from the darkness to launch viewers into the rock tune. The performance saw both White and Brendan Benson strumming away on their acoustic guitars while in sync on the vocals throughout the verse and chorus lines. Watch the full performance from Thursday’s episode below.
