A forthcoming documentary about the Rock ‘n Roll Fantasy Camp will look to explore the long-running fan/artist music education camp with cameos from Alice Cooper, Sammy Hagar, Joe Perry, and more.
Titled, Rock Camp The Movie, the film from Doug Blush (20 Feet From Stardom) and Renée Barron will arrive virtually on January 15th, and will follow four aspiring rock and rollers (campers) and their families as they learn how to write, rehearse, and perform rock and roll music as part of a band directly from the pros.
The film’s first trailer released last week gives viewers a documentary-style look at the famous music camp, which was founded by David Fishof back in 1996. The trailer provides a first look at what goes on at the camp with cameos and commentary from Fishof along with a mix of “counselors” over the years including Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley (KISS), Roger Daltrey (The Who), Dave Navarro (Jane’s Addiction), Zakk Wylde (Ozzy Osbourne), Slash (Guns N’ Roses), and Nancy Wilson (Heart) to name a few.
