Hip-hop super-duo Run The Jewels appeared as the musical guests on Jimmy Kimmel Live Monday night, performing their song “Ooh La La” from the group’s most recent album, 2020’s RTJ4.

Killer Mike and El-P were joined by Greg Nice of Nice & Smooth, whose vocals were sampled on the track, and producer DJ Premier. The performance took place at Brooklyn Academy of Music’s Howard Gilman Opera House, in El-P’s hometown of Brooklyn. Jimmy Kimmel Live typically tapes in Los Angeles, CA, but this week the show is in Brooklyn for a special Kimmel in Brooklyn series.

Run the Jewels are currently on a break from supporting Rage Against the Machine’s Public Service Announcement Tour, which is scheduled to resume for a second North American leg in February 2023. The long-awaited reunion tour was put on hold once again as the band canceled its run of European shows as RATM frontman Zack de la Rocha nurses a foot injury sustained while performing onstage.

The duo recently shared the “Opening Theme” from the upcoming Aqua Teen Forever movie and appeared on DJ Premier’s Hip Hop 50 Vol. 1 EP and the single “Strangers” from Danger Mouse and Black Thought’s collaborative album, Cheat Codes. They also played RTJ4 track “A Few Words for the Firing Squad” on Colbert during RATM’s five-night run at New York’s Madison Square Garden in August.
