Guitar hero Carlos Santana will hit the road this summer for the 1001 Rainbows North American tour. The dates with his eponymous backing band will mark the guitarist’s first new tour since collapsing onstage last July in Michigan.
Following a set at New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival on May 4th and a pair of Texas shows, the 1001 Rainbows tour kicks off on June 21st in Newark, NJ. The 75-year-old Rock & Roll Hall of Famer will play indoor and outdoor amphitheaters along the East Coast and Midwest in addition to a lone Canadian date in Niagra Falls on June 24th.
The trek includes two-night engagements in Atlantic City and Boston before wrapping in Springfield, MA on August 6th. The tour announcement promises a retrospective show celebrating the band’s 50-year career, “including fan favorites from Woodstock to Supernatural and beyond.”
Tickets for the Santana 1001 Rainbows tour go on sale to the public on March 3rd here. See below for a full list of dates. Additionally, Santana announced 2023 dates for the band’s Las Vegas residency at the House of Blues, now in its 11th year. Complete details are available on the group’s website.
