Sister Sparrow & The Dirty Birds have announced the planned release of a new studio album this May. The Weather Below will come out on May 19th, with ten original songs written by the band’s Arleigh Kincheloe. The album was produced by Ryan Hadlock, a Grammy winner who has worked with the Lumineers, Vance Joy, Ra Ra Riot, and Blonde Red Head, among others.

The first single from the album, “Mama Knows,” will be dropping on March 17th. In a statement about the album, Kincheloe says, “I knew I wanted to do something different with this record… by working with Ryan Hadlock we were able to strip each song down to its core. I feel more confident in this album than anything I’ve ever done.”

You can pre-order the album via the Sister Sparrow Bandcamp page, and The Weather Below will be released on CD and vinyl at all major digital retailers. Until then, catch Sister Sparrow on tour!
