For years, jazz/funk fusion trio Soulive held down an annual winter spot at the Brooklyn Bowl for a guest-filled residency, appropriately dubbed Bowlive. After taking a year off from the tradition, the band returned in 2017 for a summer rendition, then took 2018 off. Now, in celebration of their 20-year anniversary as a band, Soulive will make their triumphant return to the Brooklyn Bowl for a reduced, six-night Bowlive run on July 11th, 12th, 13th, 18th, 19th, and 20th.

Part of the glory of these Bowlive shows is the unexpected moments that often transpire. You truly never know who will walk through the doors of the Brooklyn Bowl, especially when Eric KrasnoNeal Evans, and Alan Evans are hosting a show. Today, the band (and the Bowl) have announced the first batch of special guests for their upcoming Bowlive run at Brooklyn Bowl this July. The first weekend of the two-weekend, six-show run will feature guest appearances by Ivan Neville (Dumpstaphunk) on July 11th, Oteil Burbridge (Dead & Company) on July 12th, and John Scofield on July 13th.
