Soulive, the versatile organ trio featuring Eric Krasno (guitar), Neal Evans (organ), and Alan Evans (drums), has announced a headlining performance at New Orleans, LA’s The Joy Theater on Friday, April 25th as part of Live For Live Music’s Fest by Nite series during Jazz Fest 2025. The performance will mark Soulive’s first show at The Joy Theater in ten years [ticketing information].

From their storied, guest-filled Bowlive residencies at New York’s Brooklyn Bowl to their enduring instrumental Beatles interpretations (see: Rubber Soulive) to their extensive catalog of originals stretching from their 2001 debut, Doin’ Something, to their 2024 EP, Cinematics Vol. 2, Krasno, Evans, and Evans have established themselves as an enduring force on the live music circuit for decades.

Soulive has maintained a sparse touring schedule in recent years, a trend that appears to be continuing into 2025 (the only upcoming date on the Soulive tour schedule is a slot at the 2025 edition of Northlands Music & Arts Festival in New Hampshire in June). Still, the band is sounding as hot as ever onstage: Last weekend, Krasno and the Evans brothers proved that time away had not weakened their connection during a stellar two-night run at the Philadelphia-area Ardmore Music Hall. While Krasno can often be found all over the Crescent City during Jazz Fest, this Fest by Nite show marks a notable return to The Joy Theater for Soulive, whose last performance at the iconic Big Easy venue came during Jazz Fest 2015 as part of a co-headline with Lettuce billed as The Royal Family Masquerage.
