Spafford reached into the archives on Monday to deliver a full-show video of the band’s Bonnaroo set on June 7th, 2018. This concert marked the band’s first-ever appearance at the long-running Manchester, TN festival.

The hour-long performance came at a pivotal time for Spafford as the Prescott, AZ-bred quartet was experiencing a meteoric rise. Of note during this performance is the presence of drummer Cameron Laforest, who served as interim rhythm maker from 2017—2019 until his predecessor, Nick Tkachyk, rejoined the band during Jazz Fest of that year.

Appearing at This Tent starting at 10:45 p.m., this crowd was primed and ready for the funky jams that Spafford was about to deliver. Things got off to a hot start with Brian Moss‘ lightning-fast guitar riff to kick off “Electric Taco Stand”. This five-song set would see the band take on fan-favorites “Mind’s Unchained”, “Beautiful Day”, “All In”, and an always-enjoyable cover of Tears For Fears‘ “Mad World”. Putting its versatility on full display by oscillating between hard-driving rock and slow-funk rawness, Spafford surely gained some new fans that night down at Great Stage Park.
