Brian Moss recently traded the glitz and glamour of the live music circuit for a milk carton and a cubby when he played for a crowd of schoolchildren. The Spafford guitarist stopped by his son’s school during a rare break in his touring schedule for an acoustic performance.

Though Spafford has a reliable fanbase of devoted followers referred to as “Spaffnerds,” Moss was more enamored with the audience of toddlers, writing, “Best crowd ever,” in a video of the performance. The crowd of young children was locked in for the set, with Moss observing, “No chompers,” referencing the predilection of many jam band fans to talk through concerts.

Brian played all the hits, taking a fan request for the ABC song as well as performing the fan favorite “Baby Shark”, which bookended most of the show with a monster reprise following “Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer”. Despite his star status, Moss was still bound by the venue’s curfew and performed only a single set before breaking for nap time.
