Spafford has revealed the impressive lineup of “Friends” set to join the band for a special set at the North Beach Music Festival in Miami Beach, set to take place December 10th and 11th [get tickets].
The Spafford & Friends set on Saturday, December 11th at the inaugural festival will see the Arizona-bred jam quartet—comprised of Brian Moss (guitar), Andrew “Red” Johnson (keys), Jordan Fairless (bass), and Nick Tkachyk (drums)—link up with a slew of exciting artists including guitarists Eric Krasno and Brandon “Taz” Niederauer, keyboardists Alric “A.C.” Carter (TAUK) and Marco Benevento (JRAD), and percussionist Nate Werth (Snarky Puppy, Ghost-Note).

Of particular note, Spafford and Taz have previously shared the stage aboard Jam Cruise 17 in 2019. The collaboration, which played out under the stars on the ship’s Pool Deck stage during a lunar eclipse, produced some memorable improvisational results. The guest-filled Spafford & Friends set will comprise just half of the band’s schedule at the festival. For the band’s other set, Moss, Johnson, Fairless, and Tkachyk will deliver an all-improv performance.
The first-ever edition of the festival, held at North Beach Bandshell, will also see performances from Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, The Motet, TAUK, Aqueous, and many more.
