Spafford will return to the stage with a two-night run of socially distant pod concerts in Tempe, AZ next month. The pair of concerts will take place at The Marquee Theatre Backyard on April 20th and 21st, and will mark the band’s first concerts of 2021.

The Arizona-bred jam quartet has not played in front of an audience since its May 24th, 2020 concert at the Digital Drive-In in Mesa, AZ. The concert was among the first drive-in shows in the United States and attracted press coverage of the band from across the country. Spafford was scheduled to perform a two-night New Year’s Even run of pod concerts, also at The Marquee, but ultimately pivoted the concerts to a livestream affair as the situation regarding the pandemic continued to escalate. These concerts on April 20th and 21st will serve as the make-up dates for the shows originally rescheduled from the New Year’s run.

Both concerts will take place outdoors in the new Marquee Theatre Backyard show area. Tickets will be sold in pods that are good for up to six patrons. Masks will be required by all attendees while they are not in their designated pods. For a full rundown of COVID-19 safety protocols, click here. Limited tickets for 4/20 and 4/21 are still available.
