On Sunday night, String Cheese Incident wrapped up their two-night stand at Eugene, Oregon’s Cuthbert Amphitheater. Following the group’s headlining sets at High Sierra Music Festival on Thursday and Friday, the Colorado-bred jam act continued onto Eugene for Saturday and Sunday performances—marking the final West Coast “Incidents” scheduled for 2018.

Across the weekend, the band invited a number of friends to join them during the celebratory shows. On Saturday night, String Cheese Incident was joined by percussionist Jarrod Kaplan for a take on “Late In The Evening” and an exploratory drums segment. Other highlights included the second set’s “Jellyfish”, which founded a take on “Willin'” before jamming through “Land’s End”, an extended improv section dubbed the “Big Oregon Jam”, “Glory Chords”, and “Colliding”.

As for night two, the special guests continued. During the first set’s take on “MLT”, the band was joined by guitarist Jeff Pevar, a founding member of Crosby, Pevar & Raymond and collaborator with projects such as Phil Lesh & Friends, Jazz Is Phish, and others. Later in the evening, during a tribute to Tom Petty with a take on “You Wreck Me”, a song that has increasingly made its way into rotation since its debut at Red Rocks Amphitheatre last summer, String Cheese Incident was joined by Dark Star Orchestra guitarist John Kadlecik. From there, the band offered up another cover, this time of Talking Heads’ “This Must Be the Place (Naive Melody)” before working through a “Heads Up Jam” and closing out the set with “Texas”.
