Sturgill Simpson was due to swing through Asheville, North Carolina on October 21st for a performance at ExploreAsheville.com Arena as part of his ongoing Why Not? Tour. After Hurricane Helene and the catastrophic flooding it caused wreaked havoc on Asheville and its surrounding areas last week, his show—along with the rest of the upcoming events at the venue—has been canceled as relief efforts continue. But rather than taking the day off ahead of his previously scheduled October 22nd show at Cary, NC’s Koka Booth Amphitheatre, Sturgill Simpson will now head to Cary a day early to mount a last-minute benefit show for the North Carolina Disaster Relief Fund, which is assisting in Hurricane Helene recovery efforts.

Tickets for the Sturgill Simpson Hurricane Helene relief benefit in Cary, NC on October 21st will be available beginning with a local venue pre-sale on Thursday, October 10th 10:00 a.m. with general on-sale following Friday, October 11th at 10:00 a.m. Find ticketing details here.

Refunds for tickets purchased for Sturgill Simpson in Asheville through Ticketmaster will be automatically processed. All others should contact point of purchase. The venue noted that it is “actively working to reschedule the concert and to ensure that fans who held tickets for the original date receive priority access when the show goes on sale.”
