The team behind Summer Camp Music Festival has revealed the debut lineup for the festival’s new concept, Solshine: A Music & Arts Reverie. Much like the Summer Camp fans remember from recent years, the inaugural Solshine will take place at Three Sisters Park in Chillicothe, IL over Memorial Day weekend and feature a mix of jam heavyweights and EDM stars.

Continuing Summer Camp’s longstanding tradition, Solshine: A Music & Arts Reverie will be hosted by moe. and Umphrey’s McGee, with each act performing on multiple days of the event. Veteran summer camp performers like Goose, Big Gigantic, STS9, and SLANDER and exciting new additions like John Summit, The Strings Cheese Incident, and deadmau5 round out the list of headlining acts.

Solshine will continue Summer Camp’s commitment to musical variety with a diverse undercard that also features acoustic Goose offshoot OreboloClaude VonStroke‘s bass alias Barclay Crenshaw, Twiddle alum Mihali, a Kill Safari linkup (Kill The Noise b2b Bro Safari), barefoot barb Keller Williams, genre-fluid jammers Big Something, and many more.

Other acts set to appear at the debut of Solshine include lespecial, Doom Flamingo, Manic Focus, Wreckno, Zingara, Eprom, Maddy O’Neal, Mickman, The Werks, Levity, Eggy, Moon Hooch, Dogma, DJ Brownie (The Disco Biscuits’ Marc Brownstein), Snakes & Stars (featuring The String Cheese Incident’s Michael Travis), Moody Good, and more.

The initial lineup is rounded out by Allie Kral, Armchair Boogie, Black Carl!, Brainchild, Chicago Farmer & The Fieldnotes, DJ Marb Menthols (Goose’s Trevor Weekz), Formerly The Fox, Jason Leech, Late Night Radio, Moon Hooch, MZG, Old Shoe, Phyphr, Polyrhythmics, Rendr, Saxsquatch, Steady Flow, Sun Stereo, Tand, VCTRE, and Vibeline. The separately ticketed Thursday pre-party will feature performances by The String Cheese Incident, moe., Manic Focus, The Werks, Steady Flow, Allie Kral, and more.

“Past. Present. Future. That is the context under which the Reverie was conceived,” Solshine and Summer Camp founder Ian Goldberg said in a statement. “Google defines reverie as ‘a state of being pleasantly lost in one’s thoughts; a daydream.’ The idea was to make an intentional daydream about how an event like Summer Camp can still bring all the fun and excitement of a festival, but also invite us to use the power of that joy in an intentional way to impact the world. We want to tell the story of how Summer Camp came about, where we are now, and where we believe this dream can take us. The lineup is curated to help tell that story with nods to the godfathers of our scene, the current hottest artists in the genres we represent, and some of the tastiest up-and-comers that will lead us into the future.”

In this new chapter, Solshine will continue Summer Camp’s commitment to building community through music. Beloved Summer Camp traditions will carry over to the new festival including the immersive art area The Illumination Woods and the permanent Soulpatch garden. Through sustainability-focused workshops, Solshine will continue to inspire attendees to leave the festival and make a positive change in the world.
