Suwannee Amp Jam, a new festival at Live Oak, FL’s Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park, has announced the artist lineup for its inaugural event, due to take place on March 6th, 7th, and 8th, 2025.
True to the event’s tagline—”0ne legendary stage, many funky decisions”—Suwannee Amp Jam #1 will be the first in a series of smaller, more intimate festivals aiming to put a spotlight on the park’s famed amphitheater stage, removing typical sources of festival distractions and putting an emphasis on the music. The lineup for the inaugural Amp Jam features a mix of exciting jam bands, funk favorites, all-star collabs, and more that evoke the spirit of since-retired Suwannee events like Bear Creek and Wanee as well as the magic of ongoing traditions like New Orleans Jazz Fest by night and Daze Between New Orleans.
Gov’t Mule will lead the way at Suwannee Amp Jam #1 with two headlining sets spread over two days. The Warren Haynes-fronted blues-rock outfit will be joined by fellow headline acts Lettuce (two sets), Dumpstaphunk, Eggy (two sets), and The Headhunters. Other acts on the lineup include Eddie Roberts & The Lucky Strokes (two sets), Diggin’ Dirt (two sets), The Legendary JC’s, and Electric Kif. The festival will also feature a number of billed “guest artists” including jazz-fusion guitar luminary John Scofield, iconic NOLA funk bassist George Porter Jr. (The Meters), decorated guitarist Eric Krasno, and powerhouse vocalist/trumpeter Jennifer Hartswick (Trey Anastasio Band).
In addition, Suwannee Amp Jam #1 will feature the first official performance by the all-star Daze Between Band outside of New Orleans. A long-running late-night tradition during the “daze between” Jazz Fest weekends in the Big Easy, the Eric Krasno-led Daze Between Band has become a reliable highlight of the Jazz Fest season, bringing together a revolving lineup of high-profile musicians for uniquely thrilling collaborations. At Suwannee Amp Jam #1, the Daze Between Band will perform a special set celebrating George Porter Jr.’s legendary career with a lineup featuring Krasno, Porter, and Ivan Neville (Dumpstaphunk) alongside Tony Hall (Dumpstaphunk), Ian Neville (Dumpstaphunk), Deven Trusclair (Dumpstaphunk), Jennifer Hartswick (Trey Anastasio Band), Ryan Zoidis (Lettuce), Alex Wasily (Dumpstaphunk), Viveca Hawkins (Dumpstaphunk), and other guests.
