Tedeschi Trucks Band returned to the Warner Theatre in Washington D.C. on Saturday night for the second time this weekend and the fourth time in two weeks. After selling out both shows last weekend (2/14, 2/15), and this Friday night (2/21), the Derek Trucks and Susan Tedeschi-led 12-piece successfully managed yet another sell-out on Saturday.

Tedeschi Trucks opened their fourth and final Warner Theatre performance with a cover of Marvin Gaye‘s “Don’t Do It” before the originals “Anyhow”, “Do I Look Worried”, and “Shelter” led to a cover of Mike Mattison‘s “Life Is Crazy”. The second half of set one contained the TTB originals “Misunderstood”, “It’s So Heavy”, and “Bound for Glory”, with a cover of The Beatles‘ “I’ve Got A Feeling” tossed in for good measure.

They began the opening frame of set two with a cover of Fred Neil‘s, “Everybody’s Talkin'”, which preceded “I’m Gonna Be There”, “Strengthen What Remains”, a cover of Sleepy John Estes‘ “Leaving Trunk”, and Rahsaan Roland Kirks‘ “Volunteered Slavery”. After “Hard Case”, teasing the intro to “Afro Blue”, and “Shame”, TTB launched into Revelator‘s “Midnight in Harlem”, which Tedeschi controlled with her soulful vocals.

“Signs, High Times”, and a cover of John Prine‘s “Angel From Montgomery” followed. The Jerry Garcia and Robert Hunter collab, “Sugaree”, then led to the set-ending “I Want More” and The Allman Brothers Band‘s “In Memory of Elizabeth Reed”. They would then return for a one-song encore of Funkadelic‘s “Good To Your Earhole”.
