Tenacious D is coming to a city near you… The comedic rock titans, fronted by Jack Black and Kyle Gass, will hit the road this summer for a string of national tour dates.
The summer swing will kick off with a very special performance at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, CO featuring the Colorado Symphony on Thursday, July 25th. From There, the D will head to Kansas City, MO for a performance at the Starlight Theater (7/27) followed by a show at Lincoln, NE’s Pinewood Bowl Theater (7/28). Next, Tenacious D will hit St. Paul, MN’s Palace Theatre (7/30); St. Louis, MO’s Stifel Theatre (8/2); Nashville, TN’s Ascend Amphitheater (8/4); and Atlanta, GA’s Coca Cola Roxy Theatre (8/5).
The tour will feature nightly support from Wynchester, the country outfit fronted by Kyle Gass Band vocalist Mike Bray and Tenacious D electric guitarist John Konesky.
The 2019 Post-Apocalypto Tour comes in continuing support of Tenacious D’s 2018 album/animated web series, Post-Apocalypto. You can watch the full Post-Apocalypto “movie”—featuring cartoon J-Bles and KG navigating a post-apocalyptic world—below:
