Following a successful debut over the summer, The Capitol Groove will return on June 28th and 29th, 2025 for its second annual gathering at Hartford, CT’s Bushnell Park. The far-reaching lineup will feature headlining sets by Best New Artist Grammy Award nominee Khruangbin, Jack Antonoff-led alt-pop outfit Bleachers, esoteric bassist and bandleader Thundercat, and beloved ’90s alt-rock staple Cake.

The sophomore edition of The Capitol Groove will kick off on Saturday, June 28th with Khruangbin and Thundercat alongside R&B/soul trio Thee Sacred Souls, reggae legends Steel Pulse, Boston alt-pop outfit Ripe, Atlanta acoustic collective Improvement Movement, and NYC psychedelic soul ensemble Ghost Funk Orchestra. On Sunday, June 29th, Bleachers and Cake will lead a bill also featuring soul-pop favorites Sammy Rae & The Friends, Alabama spirit-stirrers St. Paul & The Broken Bones, eclectic singer-songwriter Fantastic Negrito, Kansas indie rock band The Greeting Committee, and rising L.A. indie troupe Spectre Jones.

Presented by Infinity Hall operator GoodWorks Entertainment, the festival in the Connecticut state capital will present 14 acts on a single stage throughout the weekend, ensuring that attendees can catch all of the music on the lineup. In addition to a top-shelf musical lineup, The Capitol Groove will present the highest-quality local craft vendors and food trucks. Beyond the festival’s intention to highlight a diverse array of artists, The Capitol Groove will shine a light on Hartford’s vibrant art community through the lens of the lush Bushnell Park in the shadows of the state capitol building.

Ticket types include Single Day and 2-Day tickets for both VIP and General Admission. The purchase of a VIP ticket includes elevated, prime viewing of the stage, access to the VIP Lounge, air-conditioned restrooms, a premium bar with drinks for purchase and dedicated food purveyors, a dedicated shaded area, and more.
