The Disco Biscuits wrapped up a tremendous four-night run at New York’s PlayStation Theater last weekend, delivering unique and exciting shows for each night of the run. The band opened up the run by playing fan-selected setlists, and provided a live-jammed score for the movie Tron on night two. Read those recaps below:
Night One: The Disco Biscuits Play Fan-Selected Setlists For Dazzling NYE Opener
Night Two: Watch The Disco Biscuits Live-Jam The Movie ‘Tron’ For Incredible New Year’s Performance
The third and fourth nights of the run were just as exciting, as the band ushered in 2016 with two themed performances. The January 1st show saw the band “Spin The Wheel,” allowing fans onstage to spin a wheel with various songs from the band’s storied career. The show resulted in some fun performing, including a “Mario Star Jam” and some classic tunes like “Moshi Fameus” and “Above the Waves.” It also included the first “Unspoken Rhyme” since 2000!
The fourth night also included a set with the Philly Stray Horns, who were welcomed back after tDB’s rousing Halloween performance. While that show focused more on disco-ey numbers, this time, the band mainly performed Biscuits’ original music, including “King of the World,” “Caterpillar,” “Confrontation” and “Spy.” They also welcomed the Blue-ish Brothers for covers of “Soul Man” and “Everybody Needs Somebody To Love,” two classic soul songs.
