The Fearless Flyers have announced a run of eight shows in four nights at New York, NY’s iconic Blue Note Jazz Club set to take place on December 7th, 8th, 9th, and 10th, 2023.

The Blue Note shows will be unusually intimate affairs for this high-powered project. Comprised of Vulfpeck‘s Joe Dart on bass, Vulf cohort/prolific solo bandleader Cory Wong on guitar, Snarky Puppy‘s Mark Lettieri on baritone guitar, and renowned jazz drummer Nate Smith on a minimalistic kit, The Fearless Flyers have performed only a handful of live shows since forming in 2018, with most of those shows coming on prestigious stages like Madison Square GardenRed Rocks Amphitheatre, and Jam Cruise with surprise guests ranging from Jamiroquai‘s Jay Kay to members of Lettuce to revered guitarist Isaiah Sharkey (D’Angelo, John Mayer). Cory Wong, who has described The Fearless Flyers’ sound to Live For Live Music as “speed-metal punk, but in the context of funk music,” noted in his announcement that the band also has some “special surprises” in store for the band’s Blue Note stint.

While Cory Wong mentioned in his announcement that the four-night, eight-show Blue Note run would serve as The Fearless Flyers’ only club shows of the year, the band is slated to perform at a number of 2023 music festivals including Manchester, TN’s Bonnaroo (as part of Cory Wong’s Syncopated Superjam), Paso Robles, CA’s Whale Rock Music & Arts Festival, and St. Louis, MO’s Music at the Intersection.
