On Friday, singer-songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Theo Katzman (Vulfpeck) released an official video for “You Could Be President”, the lead single off of his forthcoming self-released studio album, Modern Johnny Sings: Songs in the Age of Vibe.
Katzman’s new “You Could Be President” single features Theo on guitar, Vulfpeck bassist Joe Dart, drummer Louis Cato, and pianist Lee Pardini. Anchored by his star-studded backing band, “You Could Be President” sees Theo shining bright with an impressive vocal lead and some twangy slide guitar solos.
Theo shared his thoughts on the new album in a press statement. He explained,
Modern Johnny is a feeling. It’s closer to Vonnegut’s ‘Kilgore Trout’ than Bowie’s ‘Ziggy Stardust’—Modern Johnny represents the journey, the quest, the plight of the singer-songwriter trying to make it in today’s music world.
