Although it had been previously discussed, Thom Yorke and Nigel Godrich have confirmed the dates and details for three upcoming Atoms For Peace DJ Sets, one of which will take place in New York City. The performances will consist of two turntables, one for each band member, and a microphone in front of an intimate crowd so get your tickets fast. The bill for the shows, taking place in London, Berlin and New York City, are listed as Atoms For Peace DJ Sets and will serve as album launch parties for ‘AMOK,’ the band’s debut LP. The full length album is due out February 26th via XL Recordings and is available for pre-order through iTunes & Amazon.
Special guest DJ’s will be appearing, with Actress and Throwing Snow confirmed for London and both Shed and Anstam confirmed for Berlin. Visuals for both shows will be provided by Tarik Barri, an popular audiovisual programmer based in Berlin, Germany. New York’s openers and further details for that show have yet to be announced but are sure to surface soon. Tickets are now on sale through the label’s website, XL Recordings.
