TOOL fans are heading into the Labor Day Weekend with a brand new album in their hands, as the rock band has finally released their first studio effort in 13 years with the arrival of Fear Inoculum.
As if the arrival of the band’s highly-anticipated album wasn’t enough of a gift for fans heading into the weekend, Killing Joke drummer Paul Ferguson also (possibly prematurely) shared TOOL’s plans for a full North American tour set for this fall with support from the post-punk/industrial outfit.
The tour will begin on October 15th in Denver, CO and continues over 25 performances before wrapping on November 25th in Washington, D.C. The band will stick to visiting mostly major U.S. and Canadian markets throughout the fall trek including Sale Lake City, Los Angeles, San Antonio, Indianapolis, Chicago, Pittsburgh, Toronto, Boston, Brooklyn, Atlantic City, and Raleigh to name a few. On-sale info was not included to go with Ferguson’s leak of the tour dates.
Prior to Friday, the only confirmed performance date from the band was that of their scheduled appearance at Sacramento’s Aftershock Festival on October 13th.
Similar to the rest of their studio catalog, the band’ new album is now available for listening on major streaming platforms. TOOL had previewed the album with the release of its title track earlier this summer, which ended up becoming the first-ever 10-minute recording to ever land on Billboard‘s “Hot 100” pop singles chart.
