Trey Anastasio will head out on the road with Classic TAB for a run of May tour dates, the Phish guitarist announced on Monday. The batch of 11 fresh concerts will feature Anastasio alongside bassist Dezron Douglas, drummer Russ Lawton, and organist Ray Paczkowski.
Following a previously announced appearance at BeachLife Festival in Redondo Beach, CA (5/9), the Classic TAB tour will commence on May 9th at The Salt Shed in Chicago and continue with a run of Midwest shows in St. Paul, MN (5/10), Madison WI (5/11), Royal Oak, MI (5/14), and Cleveland, OH (5/15) before heading up to Lafayette, NY (5/17). The band will then play a pair of Canadian dates in Toronto (5/18) and Montreal (5/19) before wrapping the tour with a three-night run at Brooklyn Steel in New York (5/21–5/23). After the Brooklyn run, Trey and TAB will head to the Harvard Atheltic Complex for a set at Boston Calling on May 25th.
A pre-sale for tickets to the Trey Anastasio and Classic TAB May tour will begin on Tuesday, February 6th at 12 p.m. ET here. Tickets will then go on sale to the general public on Friday, February 9th at 10 a.m. at Trey.com.
These new dates add to a growing schedule for Trey, who is set to kick off a big year with Phish‘s four-night run at Las Vegas’ Sphere from April 18th–21st. Then—presumably after a Phish summer tour—the band will host its first curated festival in nine years with Mondegreen at The Woodlands in Dover, DE from August 15th–18th. The producer of Phish’s last studio album, 2020’s Sigma Oasis, also revealed that the band is working on a new album.
