Trey Anastasio Trio will follow their first tour since 1999 with a pair of newly-announced summer shows in Virginia and New York. The group—which finds Anastasio joined by bassist Tony Markellis, and drummer Russ Lawton—will perform at Charlottesville, Virginia’s Sprint Pavilion on July 5th before heading to New York City’s Central Park SummerStage on July 6th.

As previously reported, Trey Anastasio Trio announced their first shows in nearly two decades after Trey Anastasio Band keyboardist Ray Paczkowski underwent surgery for a brain tumor. Consequently, Anastasio decided to reconfigure the tour as a run with his classic trio. The outing got started earlier this month and will soon wrap up with a three-night stand in New Orleans during Jazz Fest that will be webcast and a benefit show in Atlanta. This past Saturday, the trio offered up a few debuts and Phish favorites during the second show of a two-night Chicago run.

Tickets for Trey Anastasio Trio’s newly-announced dates will go on sale to the general public on Friday, April 27th. Pre-sale tickets will be available at noon ET on Wednesday, April 25th.
