Fans who tuned into Tyler Childers‘ Monday night re-broadcast of his September 30th, 2019 show at Red Rocks Amphitheatre were greeted with a special surprise at the end. The singer-songwriter—who also celebrated his 30th birthday on Monday—announced two new shows at the Morrison, CO venue, set for September 29th and 30th, 2021.
The second night of Tyler’s two-night run will fall exactly two years after his headlining debut at the venue. That show saw the Eastern Kentucky native joined by Robert Earle Keen for the grand finale of “The Road Goes On Forever“. The new Red Rocks shows will find Childers joined throughout the weekend by special guest Margo Price, and feature support from ONA on the 29th and John R. Miller on the 30th.

These come as the first newly announced concert dates from Tyler Childers since his stint backing Sturgill Simpson on 2020’s Good Look’n Tour was cut short by the pandemic. In September, Childers released Long Violent History, a mostly instrumental bluegrass album that was praised for its unflinching look at the history of race relations in the United States and its effect on Childers’ Midwestern upbringing.
Tickets for Tyler Childers at Red Rocks Amphitheatre on September 29th and 30th, 2021 go on sale on Friday. Visit Childers’ website for alerts and more information.
