Umphrey’s McGee bassist Ryan Stasik will team with Aqueous‘ guitarist Mike Gantzer and drummer Rob Houk for a new punk project to be known as The Hazards.

Announced on Monday, The punk trio will make their live debut at The Holding Company in San Diego, CA following an Umphrey’s McGee show at the nearby Observatory North Park on March 12th as part of the band’s ongoing Hindsight 20/20 Tour.

This won’t be the first time Stasik and Gantzer have joined forces for a punk-inspired project outside of their respective day jobs. Following a debut performance at Summer Camp in 2017, Stasik, Gantzer, and UM drummer Kris Myers teamed up for a Green Day-inspired Dookie tribute set at Brooklyn Comes Alive in 2017. The Green Day project was revived for a UM after-show in Albany, NY last winter.
