In the wake of this weekend’s tragic terrorist attacks around Paris, including the targeting of legendary rock venue the Bataclan, US concert promoters are implementing tighter security cautions at their venues.

The New York Times reports that Live Nation has taken measures to increase security at their venues nationwide and around the globe. “The safety and security of our shows, fans and venues continues to be our highest priority,” they said in a statement. “Due to the recent events in Paris and in an abundance of caution we have implemented heightened security procedures globally. However, because of the sensitive nature of these protocols, we cannot elaborate further on the specific details.”

Concert promoter AEG Live has taken similar precautions, reportedly heightening security measures at a Justin Bieber promotional event this weekend at the Staples Center in LA. Those who attended the Lettuce shows at the PlayStation Theater in NYC this weekend can also attest to especially thorough security searches upon entrance.

A ton of bands with plans to tour through France have decided to postpone or cancel their scheduled dates, including U2, Foo Fighters, Deftones, Haitus Kaiyote, Prince, and Marilyn Manson.

The Bataclan has also issued a statement regarding the horrendous event that took place at the venue on Friday, leaving 89 dead. “No words suffice to express the magnitude of our grief,” the venue posted on Facebook. “Our thoughts go to the victims, to the wounded, and to their loved ones. Many of you have wanted to gather in remembrance at the Bataclan. Unfortunately, the authorities still need to work at the site. We will keep you informed about when it will be possible to assemble in front of the hall. We thank you for your support, which touches us profoundly.”
