Vulfpeck only has a handful of dates scheduled for 2018, and they completed three of them in the last five days. Following their performance at SweetWater 420 Fest in Atlanta, the funk quartet headed straight to New Orleans for two nights at the legendary Tipitina’s.
The band played at Tipitina’s in 2016 when they opened up for Lettuce, welcoming huge collaborations throughout the night. The favor was returned last night, when Lettuce’s The Shady Horns–trumpeter Eric “Benny” Bloom and saxophonist Ryan Zoidis–sat in throughout the Wednesday night performance.
The setlist followed standard procedure, welcoming all the hits and collaborations with frequenters Cory Wong, Joey Dosik, and Antwaun Stanley. In addition to The Shady Horns, Vulfpeck welcomed trombonist Melissa Gardiner.

Next up, Vulfpeck heads to Morrison, CO for their first-ever headlining performance at Red Rocks Amphitheatre, where they will be joined by Kamasi Washington and KNOWER. For more information on Vulf at Red Rocks, head to the event page.
