The inaugural Los Muertos con Queso went down last month at the Barcelo Maya in Riviera Maya, Mexico to close out January in style. The beach-side event hosted The String Cheese Incident, Jackie Greene, Chris Robinson Brotherhood, and the debut of a new project with Grateful Dead originals Bob Weir and Bill Kreutzmann, Dead & Company keyboardist Jeff Chimenti, Joe Russo’s Almost Dead guitarist Tom Hamilton, and Widespread Panic bassist Dave Schools.

The debut of this Dead-inspired super group was indeed a main focus, playing six sets throughout the weekend. It was unfortunate when Bob Weir had to miss two of the six due to a bad case of food poisoning, but the show went on. Thanks to YouTube user G.
