Tune in to this show as part of Widespread Panic’s ‘Never Miss A Sunday Show’ Webcast Series!

Widespread Panic impressed fans in Asheville, NC with an incredible Halloween performance, bringing out big bust outs and debut covers for the occasion. The band dressed as characters from the Andy Griffith Show, complete with a cover of the classic folk tune “Dooley” with Steep Canyon Rangers fiddle player Nicky Sanders, as performed on the show.

The set also included the debut performance of “The Fishin’ Hole”, the theme song for the Andy Griffith Show, in what was a folk-laden first set. Watch video of that below:

Things heated up real quickly with a trio of Pink Floyd tunes to open the second set, including “Have A Cigar”, “Wish You Were Here”, and “Young Lust”. “Cigar” and “Lust” were debut tunes, and the band also debuted “I Shot The Sheriff” by Bob Marley.

Major bust-outs came in the form of “Journey Through The Past” (last played in 129 shows) and “Postcard” (last played in 100 shows), all played in the encore. With Sanders again in tow, the show closed with a fiesty performance of “I Fought The Law”.
