Wilco is the latest band to recruit a mix of their musical friends for a Mexican concert destination event. On Wednesday, the popular rock band announced their Sky Blue Sky all-inclusive weekend event scheduled to take place at the Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya early next year on January 18th-22nd, 2020.
The four-day event, which is named after the band’s 2007 studio album, will feature three performances from Wilco throughout the weekend, in addition to scheduled sets from Courtney Barnett, Sharon Van Etten, Yo La Tengo, Kamasi Washington, Dr. Dog, The Autumn Defense, Durand Jones & The Indications, Calexico, The Comet Is Coming, Archi, and Wilco singer/guitarist Jeff Tweedy.
Performances will take place throughout the afternoons and into the evenings at both the main stage and the more intimate Heaven Beach stage along the water. The event will also offer late-night performances. The all-inclusive ticket packages start at a manageable $1599 with meals, beverages, concerts, and activities included.
