The first leg of dates, set to feature support from singer/songwriter Steve Poltz, will extend into February and stretch across the Northeast. Highlights include performances at 9:30 Club in Washington, D.C. (1/26), College Street Music Hall in New Haven, CT (2/2), The Fillmore in Philadelphia, PA (2/3), House of Blues in Boston, MA (2/4), and a return to Webster Hall in New York City (2/5).
After a brief pause, the second leg of the early-2022 Wood Brothers tour will pick back up on February 22nd at The Rialto Theatre in Tucson, AZ and proceed to blanket the Mountain states into March, including appearances at Mission Ballroom in Denver, CO (2/25), Center For The Arts in Jackson, WY (2/28) and Knitting Factory in Boise, ID (3/3) before concluding with two nights in Montana. The tour’s second leg will feature nightly support from Rounder Records artist Katie Pruitt.
The Wood Brothers released their most recent album, Kingdom In My Mind, in January 2020. Read our full review of the album here.
The band remained relatively active in 2020 despite a necessary hiatus from touring. In addition to reissuing 2013’s The Muse on vinyl, the trio performed a handful of creative livestream shows.
Oliver Wood also used to time to complete and record his debut solo album, Always Smilin’, released in May 2021 via the band’s Honey Jar Records imprint. Read our feature interview with Oliver Wood on the philosophies behind Always Smilin’ here.
