Ever since its grand debut at the Grammy’s, Silk Sonic—the new collaboration featuring Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak—has taken the music world by storm. Evidently, Silk Sonic’s reach goes beyond the spheres of pop or ’70s soul and R&B and has extended well into hip-hop as it was recently revealed that Ghostface Killah of Wu-Tang Clan has remixed Silk Sonic’s one and only song, “Leave The Door Open”.

Per Hip Hop DX, word of the remix was first leaked on Tuesday by Hot 97‘s Peter Rosenberg who tweeted that Ghostface Killah had sent him his take on the track. As old school hip-hop fans salivated over the alleged existence of the track, Ebro Darden premiered the remix on Wednesday on his Hot 97 radio show Ebron in the Morning. While no official or even bootleg versions of the entire song have surfaced online (yet), fans can hear a snippet of the remix available on social media.

Ghostface Killah’s take finds him donning something akin to his sleek Pretty Toney persona as he coalesces into the song’s smooth vibe. From the opening dialogue of him calling his girl to no avail all the way through Mars’ vocals dropping into the refrain, Killah’s take on “Leave The Door Open” keeps the 70s soul intact.
