Yusuf/Cat Stevens continues to remain busy these days, even without the ability to perform live for the foreseeable future.

On Thursday, the 72-year-old folk singer/songwriter/guitarist shared a previously-unreleased demo recording of “Maybe You’re Right”, which first appeared on his Mona Bone Jakon studio album, which celebrates its 50th anniversary this year. Similar to his recent 50th-anniversary reissue of Tea For The Tillerman released earlier this year, Yusuf will include this unearthed recording of “Maybe You’re Right” for the Mona Bone Jakon 50th Anniversary Super Deluxe Box Set, due out December 4th.

The studio demo offers impressively clean audio of Stevens in the studio with just his acoustic guitar and vocals to perform the song in one take. Stream the new demo via the Spotify player below.
