Headed by Snarky Puppy’s multi-Grammy-winning percussion duo of Robert Sput Searight and Nate Werth, Ghost-Note is an explosion of sound. With an expansive roster of next-level musicians—with artists like PrinceSnoop DoggErykah BaduHerbie HancockKendrick LamarMarcus MillerTotoJustin Timberlake, and more on their collective resume—the band is pushing funk music into the future, building on the uplifting, pioneering foundations laid out by the likes of James Brown and Sly & The Family Stone and infusing their fresh take with tastes of afrobeat, hip-hop, psychedelia, world folklore, and more.

The Garcia’s performance will be one of the highlight shows as part of the band’s ongoing 2019 tour behind their 2018 studio album, Swagism. Ghost-Note will close the year next month with back-to-back shows supporting Dopapod in Asheville (12/27) and Atlanta (12/28).

On December 30th at New York’s Sony Hall, Ghost-Note will team up with a slew of talented guests for Ghost-Note & Friends Play Prince, a very special late-night tribute to the late, great Purple One. Between bassist MonoNeon, saxophonist Sylvester Onyejiaka, and keyboardist Dominique Xavier Taplin—all former Prince collaborators—the Artist’s pedigree is always well-represented with Ghost-Note.

Joining Ghost-Note as the “Friends” portion of the bill will be Trey Anastasio Band trumpeter/vocalist Jennifer Hartswick (Trey Anastasio Band), D’Angelo and The Vanguard singers Rojo “REDD” Lavoe and Ahrel Lumzy, and Cory Henry/Childish Gambino vocal collaborator STOUT. This insanely gifted outfit will dive headfirst into the beloved Prince catalog to help NYC party like it’s (almost) 2020.
