Aqueous has announced the themes for both nights of the band’s upcoming New Year’s run at the Town Ballroom in their hometown of Buffalo, NY on December 30th-31st.
The band took to social media on Tuesday to share a promo image featuring doctored posters for classic films from the 1980s and 90s with Dazed and Confused mixed with Almost Famous, and a mashup of Fast Times at Ridgemont High and The Breakfast Club. The band cleverly turned The Breakfast Club imagery into a more fitting, “The BreAQfast Club.” In addition, the band implored readers, “Night ONE we want to see you in your funkiest 70’s gear, and night TWO get your spandex ready, cause’ we’re headed straight to the 80’s!”

The band is no stranger to themed performances, as they rung in 2018 with a Gorillaz-themed set, and have held Halloween parties with themes including “Heroes” and “Nicktoons.”
After their New Year’s run, Aqueous has just over two-months off before their next scheduled show, which will be an appearance at M3F Festival in Phoenix, AZ in early March. The band’s 2020 tour schedule also includes appearances at festivals like Sweetwater 420 Fest, Domefest, and The Peach Music Festival.
Tickets for the band’s 2020 shows are available on their website.
