Antibalas heads into the weekend with six new recordings in tow as the Afrobeat outfit celebrates the arrival of their Fu Chronicles album, out today via Daptone Records. The arrival of Fu Chronicles acts as the follow up to the band’s 2017 studio effort, Where the Gods Are in Peace.

In addition to previously-released singles “Fight Am Finish“, “Amenawon“, and “Lai Lai“, the new album also features a trio of new recordings in “MTTT, Pt. 1 & 2”, “Koto”, and “Fist of Flowers” to make up to six-song tracklisting.
As Antibalas founder/baritone saxophonist Martin Pern mentioned in a statement with the album’s initial announcement last November, “Over these twenty years, our musical community has taken many licks but we are still holding it together and have a lot of creative energy to work with. I see this song ‘Fight Am Finish’ in particular as a testament to commitment, to seeing something through to the end.”
