Backwoods at Mulberry Mountain has canceled its scheduled 2024 festival, organizers announced in a social media post on Monday.

The post cited “rising production costs, labor, and overall business expenses, coupled with a change in consumer buying patterns and economic conditions post COVID” as the reasons for canceling the four-day music and camping event, originally scheduled to take place in Ozark, AR from June 6th–9th, 2024. Artists on the now-scrapped 2024 Backwoods at Mulberry Mountain festival lineup included OPIUO, Jai Wolf, STS9, Thievery Corporation, LSZEE (LSDREAM and CloZee), The Disco Biscuits, Illenium, Tycho, Break Science, Manic Focus, Late Night Radio, Wreckno, The Crystan Method, and many more.
“Backwoods has been a passion based project since its inception in 2008,” the cancellation message continued. “We have held many successful events over the years as a family run operation bringing amazing experiences to the community with workshops designed for self healing, an appreciation of art, and a love for music. Our team fought this year harder than any other year in an attempt to host the best event, adding more music, keeping prices in line with previous years, and marketing harder than ever before in an attempt to drive attendance.”

“To those who have been to Backwoods in past years,” organizers added, “we thank you for your patronage and hope that we brought some light and joy to your life throughout the years.”
