Break Science has announced its return to New Orleans during Jazz Fest season 2024 for a late-night blowout at Toulouse Theatre on Saturday, May 4th (technically early-a.m. May 5th). Tickets for the performance, presented by Live For Live Music and GMP Live, are now on sale here.
Comprised of Adam Deitch (drums/arrangement, Lettuce) and Bohram Lee (keys/production, Pretty Lights), Break Science has been a defining force in the live electronic music world for more than a decade. Steeped in the traditions of East Coast hip-hop, the forward-thinking milieu of today’s electronic music world, and the mind-expanding creative ambition of the Colorado music scene that gave them their start, Deitch and Lee’s collaborative, electro-soul output has continued to evolve throughout Break Science’s tenure, incorporating an array of eclectic styles, band lineups, and live approaches into the duo’s high-energy live act.

Borahm Lee’s masterful use of Ableton Live and prowess atop an assortment of analog synths, Fender Rhodes, and digital plug-ins have always propelled Break Science toward new sonic frontiers. Lee’s resume is vast and varied, spanning from the Fugees to Pretty Lights and beyond. Adam Deitch, whose unique drum style is as tight and thundering as it is creatively expansive, has worked with a long list of hip-hop legends (Redman, Pharoahe Monch, Wu-Tan Clan members), jazz luminaries (John Scofield), and more, helping cross-pollinate classic and contemporary styles—from dub to drum n’ bass to dancehall, jazz, funk, and more—with modern electronic soundscapes.
