Lettuce will return to New Orleans, LA’s The Joy Theater in New Orleans, LA during the second weekend of Jazz Fest 2024 to continue a beloved tradition: Rage Fest. The far-reaching funk sextet will bring its long-running Jazz Fest celebration to the historic Canal Street theater on Friday, May 3rd [ticket info].

The Grammy-nominated outfit—comprised of Adam Deitch (drums, percussion, arrangement), Adam “Shmeeans” Smirnoff (guitar), Erick “Jesus” Coomes (bass), Ryan Zoidis (saxophones), Eric “Benny” Bloom (trumpet), and Nigel Hall (keyboards, vocals)—has been a fixture at The Joy Theater during the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival for several years. Lettuce made annual trips to The Joy between 2016 and 2022, pandemic years excluded, for a series of special performances billed as Rage Fest. In 2023, the band relocated its annual NOLA soiree to the Saenger Theatre for an orchestral hybrid show alongside the Louisiana Philharmonic. This year, Lettuce is bringing the Rage Fest tradition back to The Joy Theater for one unforgettable night.

Prior to Rage Fest, Lettuce will hit the stage at Daze Between New Orleans (Tuesday, 4/30–Wednesday, 5/1) to headline the midweek festival’s first day with a special collaborative set featuring iconic jazz-fusion guitarist John Scofield.
