Bob Weir took to Instagram on Tuesday, but instead of a workout video that fans of the veteran Grateful Dead guitarist have come to expect, he shared a public service announcement on the importance of coronavirus pandemic relief efforts.

“Hi, this is Bobby Weir, and we really have a situation here, don’t we?” he asked. Weir continued, “I think we really need to come together and help our frontline health care workers fighting the coronavirus. They’re running out of supplies.”

After instructing viewers to read the caption for supply drop-off locations around Northern and Southern California, as well as compelling people outside of The Golden State to contact their local hospital for state-specific information, Weir then recited the most important pandemic best-practice that many have heard, yet too few have followed.

“Please isolate and stay six feet away from anyone who has not been quarantined with you,” he remarked before closing with an inspiring, “O.K. let’s do this.”

In the video’s caption, Weir notes,

Californians, healthcare providers on the frontline of the COVID-19 pandemic in San Francisco and Los Angeles are in desperate need of critical supplies such as masks, disposable gloves and more. Let’s step up and show the healthcare workers on the frontlines some care in return!⁣

If you are not in these areas and have supplies, please check with your local hospitals to see how you can help.⁣ #StayHome
