Brandi Carlile will host Mothership Weekend as a musical celebration of mothers everywhere next spring in Miramar Beach, FL. Presented by Carlile and Topeka (the hospitality/entertainment company behind Moon Crush), the destination event will coincide with Mother’s Day weekend, May 12th–14th, for three nights of beachside concerts.
The festivities kick off on Friday, May 12th with a headlining performance from Carlile in addition to Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats and Danielle Ponder. Carlile will take Saturday off and cede headlining duties to Hozier, with Mavis Staples, The Milk Carton Kids, and Katie Pruitt filling out the remainder of the lineup. Finally, the inaugural Mothership Weekend will close out on Sunday with another headlining performance from Brandi Carlile in addition to Bonnie Raitt and Fancy Hagood.
“The Mothership welcomes EVERYONE,” Carlile said. “We hope you’ll join us for this epic celebration of mothers, mother figures, motherhood, mothering and all forms of chosen families.”
Tickets for Brandi Carlile’s Mothership Weekend go on sale to the public on December 5th at 11 a.m. ET. Pre-sale registration is open now, with Carlile’s Bramily fan club receiving access to the pre-sale beginning on November 29th at 10 a.m. ET.
Tickets for the concerts are sold in two, four, and six-person “coves,” a roped-off area with chairs reminiscent of COVID-friendly pod concerts. The first few rows of the crowd are reserved as “The Teacher’s Lounge”. All attending educators are invited to submit a request for two complimentary passes for one night in the Teacher’s Lounge. Various accommodations are also available including condos, villas, and private homes in the area.
In addition to three nights of music, Mothership Weekend will host an array of daytime activities. Moms can relax with sunrise yoga and beach chair massages or bring the whole family for sandcastle contests, dolphin tours, tennis, golf, and more. For full details check out the travel guide.
This announcement comes in the midst of a whirlwind month for Carlile who fetched seven Grammy nominations and shared the stage with Elton John at his final U.S. concert at Dodger Stadium. The singer-songwriter is already looking to 2023 as another banner year, as she will host Joni Mitchell‘s first ticketed concert in 22 years at her Echoes In The Canyon concerts at The Gorge. Those shows in George, WA, set for June 9th–11th, will also witness the debut headlining performance from Brandi’s Grammy-winning supergroup The Highwomen.
