Ceramic Animal traverses the highway of heartache on its latest single, “Tangled”. The track arrives as the third from the Doylestown, PA indie outfit’s upcoming Dan Auerbach-produced LP, Sweet Unknown. The band’s fourth album and Easy Eye Sound debut is out on March 4th.
With an acoustic swing indicative of the group’s newly planted Nashville roots, Ceramic Animal further displays its maturity on “Tangled”. Though the Andy Hawkes-directed video still casts them as a fun-loving group of 20-somethings, the lyrics indicate more signs of artistic evolution. The band’s melancholy, lovelorn lyrics keep alive its creative spark as enhanced studio techniques carry Ceramic Animal into a new era.
“‘Tangled’ ’is about falling hard for someone, but life separates you,” singer Chris Regan said. “The distance makes it harder to trust this person you care so much about… but that separation can create a stronger bond because you have to work harder to keep the relationship alive.”
