Circles Around The Sun will return to live performances for the first time since the start of the pandemic, the band announced on Wednesday. May will see the instrumental ensemble perform a pair of concerts in California with guitarist Scott Metzger (Joe Russo’s Almost Dead).

Circles Around The Sun will perform on May 6th at SLO Brew Rock in San Luis Obispo and on May 7th Gundlach Bundschu Winery in Sonoma. These two concerts will mark the West Coast debut of Metzger performing alongside CATS, which features keyboardist Adam MacDougall, bassist Dan Horne, and drummer Mark Levy. Following founding guitarist Neal Casal‘s death in 2019, and prior to the pandemic, CATS had resumed touring with a rotating cast of guitarists including Metzger and Eric Krasno. Earlier this month, Metzger performed with CATS during the CATS In Space webcast presented by FANS.
