Remember The Good the Bad & the Queen? The Gorillaz frontman Damon Albarn led the 2007 supergroup, which included The Clash’s Paul Simonon, The Verve’s Simon Tong, and Afro-beat pioneer Tony Allen for a few years of live performances in support of their successful self-titled record The Good the Bad & the Queen; but we haven’t seen or heard from them since 2011. Earlier this week, Albarn and Simonon celebrated a birthday with a musical get-together, leaving us all in hopes for more future collaborations.

In a recent interview with The Sun, Albarn gives details about his recent musical wonder.land, a re-imagination of Lewis Carroll’s Alice In Wonderland, then states that in addition to the upcoming Gorillaz album, “I’ve also got a Good, the Bad and the Queen record… It will either be Gorillaz or that and then I might be allowed to go back into my own solo world or another musical.” So there you have it. Damon Albarn does not plan to slow down anytime soon.
