Today, Qello Concerts has announced that it will be exclusively streaming the highly anticipated concert film, David Gilmour Live at Pompeii beginning today. David Gilmour Live At Pompeii is an audio-visual spectacle, capturing Gilmour’s two live performances at the ancient amphitheater in the ruins of Pompeii, Italy in 2016. David Gilmour‘s historic 2016 Pompeii shows marked his return to the the historic Roman amphitheater 45 years after Pink Floyd filmed their iconic ‘Live at Pompeii’ concert film in the same location. The shows were also historically notable for another big reason: They marked the first time since the year 79 AD, nearly 2,000 years ago, that an actual live audience had witnessed a show in the millennia-old venue at the feet of Mt. Vesuvius. As fans will recall, the original Pink Floyd Live At Pompeii concert film was recorded with the band playing to an empty amphitheater. Director Gavin Elder captured Gilmour’s performances in 4K and the resulting film is available exclusively on Qello Concerts to stream on all major connected TVs and devices.
