Following their first trip to the West Coast in 14 years earlier this summerThe Disco Biscuits will return to Colorado and the Western U.S. in early 2024 for a 12-date stretch billed as the Why We Dance Tour.

The 2024 West Coast dates include a return to the Lake Tahoe area, this time for two nights at the Crystal Bay Casino Ballroom (1/25, 1/26), as well as a return to San Francisco’s The Fillmore (1/27). The band will then hit Santa Cruz, CA’s Catalyst Club (1/28) before heading down the coast to Los Angeles’s Fonda Theatre (2/1) and San Diego, CA’s Observatory North Park (2/2), and finally over to Tucson, AZ to make their debut at the annual Gem & Jam Festival (2/3).

From there, The Disco Biscuits will return to Colorado for a three-night run at Aspen, CO’s Belly Up (2/5, 2/6, 2/7) and a two-night stint at the Boulder Theater featuring support from Cloudchord. The Boulder shows will mark the band’s first return to the college town since 2017.

“We had so much fun out west this past summer and are really stoked to be back so soon,” said bassist Marc Brownstein in a statement. “Then back to Colorado, we’re looking forward to showing some new fans the ropes and rocking the slopes with you all. You might want to pack a big bag because we’re going from the mountains to the desert and back!”

An artist pre-sale period for the newly announced Disco Biscuits tour dates will begin on Wednesday, September 27th at 10:00 a.m. local venue time using the password “WHYWEDANCE”. Remaining tickets will go on sale to the general public on Friday, September 29th at 10:00 a.m. local venue time. VIP Packages for all announced shows will be available as part of the pre-sale and on-sale, with details found on their respective ticket pages.

While the band is looking toward 2024, there’s still plenty left on The Disco Biscuits’ plate for 2023. On October 6th and 7th, the group will host its inaugural Biscoland festival in Lafayette, NY. In addition to four sets by The Disco Biscuits, two sets by Lotus, and two sets by Eggy, the festival will feature performances by OpiuoSunSquabiThe FlooziesMaddy O’Neal, and Space Bacon, plus a Grateful Dead tribute set by the Biscuits’ Aron Magner and his “almost-acoustic” jazz trio, SPAGA. Following the festival, The Disco Biscuits will head out on a run of tour dates in the Northeast. In early December, they’ll headline two nights of the annual North Beach Music Festival in Miami Beach, FL (12/1, 12/2) before embarking on a New Year’s run featuring shows in New York, NY (12/28) and Philadelphia, PA (12/30 with Neighbor, 12/31).
