Announced on Wednesday, the 2020 chapter of John’s farewell tour will now feature 24 more shows set to take place throughout the spring and summer, making for 43 total performances next year. The new wave of 2020 dates will see Elton John make stops in new cities including Hershey, PA; Greensboro, NC; Knoxville, TN; Fargo, ND; and North Little Rock, AR return to various U.S. and Canadian cities including Toronto, ON; Miami, FL; Chicago, IL; Houston, TX; and Kansas City, MO. The tour is set to come to a climactic ending in 2021.

John returned to North America for the fall 2019 leg of his farewell run back on September 4th, and is set to wrap later this week following a show at Boston, MA’s TD Garden on Friday, November 15th.

According to his initial tour announcement in 2018, John stressed that his decision to retire following the tour has nothing to do with his health.

“My priorities have changed in my life,” he said with the announcement. “My priorities now are my children, my husband, my family. I thought the time is right to say thank you to my fans and say goodbye.”

Tickets for the new 2020 dates go on sale Friday, November 22nd, at 10 a.m. local time. A limited number of VIP packages will also be available starting Thursday, November 14th, at 10 a.m. local. Head to John’s website for tickets and tour info.
